The P&T Promenade came shopping with baby and I on Saturday. We were both exhausted from a big week, so a quiet afternoon picking up a few bits and pieces was just on the cards.

It was the first time I had taken the Promenade out of the house and it reinforced my belief that you should practise folding and unfolding your pram BEFORE going out! I pulled up into the car park and took the Promenade out of the car. Put it down on the ground and could not for the life of me find the hook to unlock the pram together. After about 5 minutes I found it and continued to set up the pram. I only had baby with me so wanted to set it up with the top seat facing me, so retrieved the adaptors from my handbag. I got the left adaptor on okay and then I attempted to put the right adaptor on. Unfortunately I didn’t click it onto the chassis properly and it promptly bounced off and rolled underneath the car in a big puddle of water! I backed the car up out of the car park, raced around to scoop the adaptor out of the puddle of water, and then parked the car again. Note to self – learn how to use a pram BEFORE going out!

I finally got the pram set up and baby and I took off. The first thing I noticed was that it is lovely and smooth! It wasn’t quite as easy one-handed as I had hoped it to be, but it was still quite maneuverable. I think the thing to remember with the Promenade is that it is designed to be used for two children, so its a large pram with quite a good sized footprint. After using the Smart and becoming accustomed to such a small footprint it was a bit of a shock to be bumping into things again.

The feature I love the MOST about the Promenade is the lie-flat sleeper bed!  With two easy clicks, the bucket seat converts to a sleeper bed.   But what I discovered was even better…  I could unclick only the lower foot buckle and leave the top head-rest one – my daughter had an instant raised head-rest which is amazing for her silent reflux.  She slept soundly for almost two hours.  Fabulous!
