This week I was lucky enough to visit Martine at Think Twins to have a first hand look at the Valco Baby Zee Two toddler seat which had just arrived in stock.  The Zee Two is just one of several exciting new offerings from Valco Baby.  It is a fully featured twin pram with tall seat backs, terrific hoods and a compact fold.

For many parents the most exciting feature of the Zee Two is the ability to add a front mounted toddler seat, so that three children can ride in the pram.

We popped the Think Twins resident mannequin into the main seat of the Zee Two to get a feeling for how much room a child would have behind the Joey seat.  As you can see below, there is a sufficient room for a child to sit upright behind the main seat, and obviously with the seats reclined there would be more room again.

The weight limit for the Joey seat is 20kg, and the Zee Two will carry 18kg per seat, which means the Zee Two plus Joey can carry a whopping 56kg with three children on board!

Parents of three children close in age will appreciate just how hard it is to find a pram that seats three children.  The advantages the Zee Two has over other prams on the market that do seat three children, are the compact size and reasonable price tag.  The Zee Two retails for $599 and the Joey seat for $99, and both are available now from Think Twins and other baby goods retailers.

What a fabulous morning and an extremely enjoyable one for this reviewer.  We’ve had the in-laws staying for a couple of weeks so decided to head into the city to take the childers to the Powerhouse Museum.  Ahh – the perfect opportunity to try out the new Steelcraft Agile Twin.  With a three year old and a four year old (as well as the baby) a double pram is always a necessity when going out and about – those little legs sure do get tired quickly.

Mr4 ran ahead with HubbyDad whilst Miss3 sat on one side of the Agile Twin with baby in the matching capsule on the otherside.  She had fallen asleep JUST as we pulled into the carpark so having the opportunity to just click the capsule into the pram was a lifesaver!

I had to get this photo – the Powerhouse museum has a collection of old-time baby products.  Pushing the Agile Twin up beside the historic baby pushchair definitely had me appreciating modern prams.

I’ve gotta say it – I’ve never really been a big Steelcraft fan.  But wow – they have really hit the nail on the head with this combo.  A double stroller that fits everywhere, independant hoods, independant recline, travel system AND tall seat backs – certainly made my day easier.  Plus there is an extra triangle in the middle of the handlebar that makes one-handed steering possible.  Yes  – I think they have thought of everything with the Agile Twin.

The fold is husband-proof as well.  I told him to look for number 1 and number 2 – the pram was in the car and he was waiting to drive home before I had even finished buckling the childers into their car seats!

This pram is my new stay-in-the-car-all-the-time pram.
